Yes, I get it now.
The feel of hands on my head and shoulders, the words, the ancient rite.
I do feel changed in a very fundamental and wondrous way. I still haven't a clue where I will end up permanently, but it doesn't really seem to matter.
And in the meantime, I get to serve as pastor, preacher and teacher to wonderful people like this at Saint Middle School:
Picture taken at the reception after my priestly ordination with some of the wonderful folks from Saint Middle School who attended the ordination. Some sang, some presented, some served as banner bearers and oblationers, some knelt and prayed. For all of them, and for all those who have affirmed my call to the priesthood for lo these may years, I give thanks.

Congrats! I've been following your journey since before I started seminary myself. You've been kind of the invisible big sister ahead of me.
And now you're THERE. At the end, that is just the beginning. So thrilled for you!
