Tell me once again that I can learn Greek. I'm feeling particularly dense after class last night. One of our little band has a real gift for memorization and language study. I do not. Of course, I'm not studying anywhere near as hard as I should.
Drat! I should have known WORK was involved!

You can learn Greek! And it can be fun. Think of it as a puzzle to solve. And don't compare yourself to anyone else in the class. (Easy for me to say, I know).
BTW, this is the first time I've visited your blog. We have a bit in common--middle age, "late vocation" etc. I was ordained to the transitional diaconate in June and will be ordained to the priesthood in Jan.
Hi, Rev Dr Mom! Good to meet another woman going through the journey. I'm plugging away at my studying; I think it was just a bad night at class. The analogy to solving a puzzle resonates for me. I find when I translate that I pick apart the little phrases I can immediately translate, then work on the words that aren;'t immediately fmailiar, or the participial phrases that need untangling.
Hope to see you back here again.
